La Pavoni Europiccola heating element 1000W 230V

It can happen that your old heating element for your La Pavoni Europiccola, La Pavoni Stradivari, La Pavoni Romantica or of your Gaggia 105-106 burns down or get’s a short in it.

This specific model heating element gives 1000W at 240V made by the heating element manufacturer Backer. It is a full stainless steel element, so flange and the element. The immersed length of the element is 46mm. the flange is 84mm. The element has 2 poles, but it has 4x 6,3x0,8mm male spade connectors. So plenty enough room for the wiring.

At the bottom of the element for the La Pavoni is also a hole in the flange. In this hole there is normally a tube for the pressure switch.

The heating element is supplied with the sealing o ring. In this case a red silicone gasket.

This element can Not be used on all versions of the Europiccola. It is only compatible with the Bakelite ring and the newest brass ring from Pavoni (31104702)  

How do I install the heating element on my La Pavoni Europiccola?

Straight forward. Take the plug out off the socket. Remove the plastic base. Remove the 3x m5x10 Allan bolts. Then you can remove the heating element.

Clean the surface where the heating element mates against. If you don’t clean it, the chance is that the heating element will leak.

Install the o ring in the groove on the heating element. Put the heating element on the boiler. Install the 3 Allen bolts again. They should go smoothly in, do not cross thread them. And tighten the bolts to a snug fit.
