Rancilio lever group parts
The espresso machine manufacturer Rancilio was founded in 1926 by Roberto Rancilio. From 1926 until the ending of the war the machines which where build the traditional way. From 1950 they started to use the lever brewing group with a horizontal boiler.
This started with the Rancilio Invicta in 1950 and later with the La Preziosa in 1951. In 1953 the Rancilio Mignon was designed, which was used in bars with little space. The 1955 procuded Rancilio Alpina had the same design philosophy. In the years they made various design changes but the principle remained the same.
Currently Rancilio still supplies commercial lever espresso machines.
