La Pavoni safety valve drain cup

Every La Pavoni Europcciola, La Pavoni Stradivari and La Pavoni Professional is equipped with a boiler safety valve/pressure relief valve. This item can be used with the pre-millenium and the millennium models. With the earliest models when there is no pressure switch this is the main form of pressure relief of the boiler.

The Boiler relief valve is placed inside this drain cup. So when the boiler relief valve is spitting water and steam, this will mainly end up in the drain cup. The water then flows true the small tube down and falls on the drip tray or grid.

How do I install a drain cup on my La Pavoni Professional, Europiccola and Stradivari.

The pressure relief valve is made up out of 2 hexagonal parts. Put a key on the hexagonal part which sticks out of the boiler. And loosen the top part of the pressure relief valve. There are parts inside this valve make sure that you don’t loose them.  Remove the drain cup and place the new one in it’s place. Installation is the same way as dismantling the valve, only the other way around.
