La Pavoni Europiccola topný prvek 1000+200W 110V

The big brother of the 1000W 120V is also available in 120V. The 1200W 120V heating element. This specific heating element is suitable for the La Pavoni Europiccola and the La Pavoni Mignon lever espresso machines. The La Pavoni product code is: 331337 

As it’s smaller brother, this heating element is also completely made from stainless steel. The flange is made from a stamped piece of stainless-steel sheeting. The low and high heating element coils 200 and 1000W are both made from stainless steel wire. Because the element has 2 different heating elements in it, you would also get 4 poles. These 4 poles have each 2 male spade connectors of 6,3x0,8mm. This specific heating element works with the double pole rocker switch.

As the 230V 1200W heating element, this one hasn’t got a connection for the pressure switch either. So this specific heating element can’t be used in combination with a pressure switch

The heating element comes with the sealing o ring, which goes in the bottom groove of the heating element.

This specific model of heating element, flange with 3 bolts. Is only compatible with the Bakelite ring type (not in production anymore, for a good reason) and the brass ring (31104702)  

How do I install my 120V 1000+200W heating element in my La Pavoni?

Make sure that the lever espresso machine has no power left on it, is cooled down and that there is no water left in the machine.  Now you can remove the plastic base plate off the machine. Now the technical bits on the underside become visible. Remove the 3 Allen bolts which hold the heating element to the boiler. And remove the heating element.

First you need to clean the edge where the heating element will seal against. Otherwise the chance of leaks will increase.

Now do the same procedure as described as above, only the other way around.
