There we have a fully restored Faema Urania second series 1 group lever espresso machine.
Every restoration starts with inventarisation and after that disassembly. After the disassembly the frame of the machine was sandblasted to remove all the old paint, rust and grime. It got coated with a double layered powdercoating. The next step was re-chrome plating of the original body parts and castings. The procedure of plating goes as following, de-chrome plating, grinding, polishing, nickle plating and finally a new layer of chrome. The blue original decal on the back was left original, seen it was in a really good state
This Faema 1 group has been fitted with a Faema Zodiac style brewing group. With this type of brewing group the bottom section of the group is made from casted brass. The top section of the group is completely made out of aluminium. This group style is the last type developed. On the brewing group the following parts have been replaced:
rubber bumpers, back and fron;
Besides the esthetics, the machine looks as good as new on the inside as well. The pipes and boiler have been descaled and cleaned. The boiler has been fitted with new gaskets, safety valve and a new heating element
All the electrical components on the inside have been replaced with new components:
Next to all these things the machine will be supplied with a reproduction single and a double portafilter, and their matching baskets. For the water supply there will be a stainless steel hose and for draining the machine there will be a reinforced plastic hose.
All our espresso machines are supplied without a power plug.
