The process of a restoration starts with a complete dismanteling of the machine. To remove the rust, old paint and debree it will be sandblasted. After sandblasting it will be coated with a dual layer powdercoating All the body panels which have chrome plating will be send of to have them re-chrome plated. So removing the chrome, grinding, polishing, nickel plating and finally chrome plating. The blue decal on the back is kept original, seen it was in a good condition
This Faema 2 groeps faema Urania has been fitted with 2 zodiac brewing groups, bottom part is brass with chrome and the top lever assembly is a aluminium casting. This is the latest model faema lever brewing groups On the brewing group the following parts have been replaced:
rubber bumpers, back and fron;
Next to the esthetics on the machine, there has also been taking care of the internals. The boiler has been descaled and cleaned, the same for the tubes and internal valves. These internal valves have been cleaned and rebuild. The boiler is fitted with new gaskets, new heating element and a new safety valve.
All the electrical components on the inside have been replaced with new components:
Next to all these things the machine will be supplied with a reproduction single and a double portafilter, and their matching baskets. For the water supply there will be a stainless steel hose and for draining the machine there will be a reinforced plastic hose.
