La Pavoni Europiccola heating element 1000+200W 230V

This is the bigger brother of the 1000W 230V heating element, it is the 1200W 230V heating element suitable for the earlier models of La Pavoni Europiccola and La Pavoni Mignon lever espresso machine.

This heating element is also a complete stainless steel. The flange is made from a sheet of stainless steel, the outer diameter is 84mm. The coils are made of stainless steel heating element wiring.  This specific wiring is in 2 versions. A low and high. The 200W and the 1000W coil. (small is 200W and the big one is 1000W. this specific heating element is normally used with the double power switch.

Seen this element is made up out of 2 coils, you will also have 4 poles. These have also 2 spade connectors each of 6,3x0,8mm. the big difference between the 1000W heating element used on the professional/Europiccola lever espresso machine. This one doesn’t have a hole to connect the thermostat to. So you can’t combine a thermostat with this specific model of heating element.

The heating element comes with the sealing o ring, which goes in the bottom groove of the heating element.

This specific model of heating element, flange with 3 bolts. Is only compatible with the Bakelite ring type (not in production anymore) and the brass ring (31104702)  

How do I install a 1000+200W 230V La Pavoni heating element?

Make sure it is powered down and no water inside the boiler(and cooled down offcourse). Remove the base plate. Now you can see the heating element. Remove the 3 allen bolts from the flange. Remove the heating element from the boiler.

You should first clean the edge of the boiler, seen that’s the mating surface of the gasket which will seal off the boiler.

Put the heating element back again in it’s place. Screw the allen bolts back into place. A snug fit is fine.
